Growing up in a family of Bearcats, I have been selling the
University of Cincinnati for as long as I can remember. I talked it up to
friends, classmates, anyone who would listen, because I knew all that UC offered
and how much one’s decision to attend can impact his or her entire life. My
genuine passion for the University of Cincinnati is evident when I give my tours
and I think that is what makes me an influential guide. I am involved on campus
in a number of different organizations, but ROAR is by far one of my favorites
because it is not only enjoyable, but I know that by volunteering a couple hours
each week, I am helping prospective students make one of the biggest decisions
of their lives.
In ROAR, I held the position of Special Events Chairman. In this position, I implemented several new events, including a Myths and Legends Tour during Welcome Week and Homecoming Week. This event was a huge success with over 200 students in attendance! I also started a Dude, Where's My Class Tour, which helped freshmen during the first week find their respective classes. Both of these tours have been staple to the organization and now bring in over 200 students to each event!
