Chief Education Officer - I currently serve on the executive board. My primary duties include educating the new members about the sorority and making sure they feel at home right away, planning monthly educational and ritual events for my sisters, meeting with women on academic probation and making sure everyone is staying above our GPA standard, and doing everything that I can to keep my sorority at the top of the scholarship report. Some events that I have implemented this year is Geek Week, which is a week-long event with jeopardy competitions, guest speakers, and friendly competitions to bring fun back to education. I have also renovated part of the house to provide additional study space for all Thetas to utilize.
Service Deputy - My first year in Theta, I was selected to hold a leadership position. I planned and executed two campus wide events, a male beauty pageant and a dodgeball tournament, raising more than $10,000 for our philanthropy, Court Appointed Special Advocates. I also created several smaller events to inspire ~95% of the chapter to participate in service events throughout the community.
Being a member of Kappa Alpha Theta has made me realize that I am a part of something bigger than myself, has pushed me to be a better version of myself, and has helped me get into leadership positions throughout campus.
